I need some ideas for hammer fired firearms that could be carried appendix. I have a 92fs, but that's getting kind of big.

My list:
Hk p30....

I would take any suggestions and accompanying holster ideas.
Thanks!

FNX 9 or 40

About the size of a G19/23

Beretta 92 Compact

3rd gen S&W

many different Sig pistols...

I make holsters. My most popular for AIWB is a microsuede wrapped Kydex rig, secured with snap loops. Can be tuckable or not.

The tuckable looks like this:

I'll be carrying my M9A1 and Vertec AIWB as soon as my JM Custom holster arrives

This, or P07 if you're a plastic fan.

Actually, or P06 if you're a metal .40 fan :)

For holsters, your best bet is either the Custom Carry Concepts "Shaggy" (my personal favorite) or one of the JM custom appendix holsters

Quick list of hammer fired guns to look at

H&K p30
H&K p2000
H&K p2000sk
H&K p30sk

Sig 226, 229,224, 239

Cz P01,P07,P09, RAMI

FNX

This is my experience with appendix carry thus far;

H&K P30 LEM.  Carried in a CCC Shaggy appendix holster.
Pros - Felt great in the hand, easy to get a firm purchase on the pistol in various positions.  Vastly prefer the paddle magazine release.  Reliable (1k rounds).  Good sight options.
Cons - A little too large.  Could conceal it, but would become uncomfortable if sitting for several hours.  Never shot it particularly well.

H&K P2000SK LEM.  Carried in a CCC Shaggy appendix holster.
Pros - Felt great in the hand.  Carried fantastically.  Could use standard magazines, or a p2000 magazine with a grip extension, made it very versatile.  paddle magazine release.  Reliable (3k+ rounds).
Cons - Recoil was snappy.  Never shot it particularly well.  Less sight options than the P30.

Part of my issue in shooting is a lack of practice, and a dramatic flinch both caused by certain medical issues.  Have no doubt that without these two obstacles I could have done better with the LEM trigger.  However, even with the very same issues I shoot the Cz P01 DRAMATICALLY better.

Cz P01.  Carried in a JM custom appendix holster.  I will be purchasing a CCC Shaggy as I prefer them.
Pros - After replacing the absurdly thick factory grips feels fantastic in the hand.  Perfect size compromise, same overall dimensions as a Glock 19. Spent about $80 at Cajun Guns works to replace the horrible DA pull.  DA/SA are now both smooth as butter.  I shoot this gun phenomenally well.  The felt recoil is dramatically less than the H&Ks and slightly less than my Glock 19.  Reliable thus far (500 rounds)
Cons - Only two.  I appreciate the additional weight of an all metal gun but my sweat is toxic.  Would prefer polymer for the grip.  Constantly having to remove the grips to clean the gun after carry.  Lack of sight options.

Guns I've looked at and considered.

Cz P07.
Pros - Trigger is far superior out of the box to the Cz P01.  Feels great in the hand.  Polymer lower.
Cons - Small hands, could not press the slide release with enough force.  Only reason I did not purchase it.

Sig 229
Pro - Sure the additional weight helps with recoil. Nice trigger.
Cons - Large for a "compact".  E2 Grip combined with the high bore axis makes it feel unwieldy and top heavy.  Decocker is in the way.

Would like a chance to handle a Cz Rami, along with an FNX.  But have not come across either at any local gun shops.

It is hard for me to fathom that any serious holster maker is still making belt attachments out of Kydex...

Nylon reinforced polymer is more consistent, more durable, and more cost effective than made by hand Kydex when it comes to belt loops and clips.

hk usp compact in what ever caliber you prefer, the 9/40 is a touch smaller than the 45 and easier to find holsters for, as for a holster, i have no recommendation, as i dont like pointing my gun towards my dick lol

but if you like the one you carry your 92fs in, get another one of those

For a while I carried a HK 45 USP with a Viridian C5L in the appendix position. Worked surprisingly well, but switching to a Walther PPQ was a much better solution.
