I am picking up my shield tomorrow.  I am waiting for my carry permit to show up.  I have a XDS and Crossbreed  mini tuck currently. Any recommendations for IWB holster for the shield that I wouldn't have to wait months for??? Any help would be appreciated.

I carry my Shield in a Blade Tech Klipt and I am very happy with it. IMO, it's a steal at $39. It's designed as an appendix holster but I use it as a standard IWB around my kidney area because I don't like appendix carry. They also make the same design as part of their revolution line and it's $10 cheaper. I think it was delivered a week or so after ordering.

Here are some pros and cons that I wrote for another thread.

PROS-
Price
Thin and Comfortable. (Although this is pretty subjective)
Very good retention for this style. The holster makes a nice solid click when the firearm is inserted.
Covers the safety, so no worries about accidental activation. (I carry with the safety off)
The belt clip makes it easy to put on and take off, which I have to do multiple times a day.

CONS-
The holster is a single piece of kydex folded in a clamshell and only has one rivet to secure the two sides. It doesn't necessarily feel weak but it is still a bit concerning.
I primarily wear skinnier belts so I bought the 1.5" belt clip but that means I can't use it with wilderness belts. (The clip looks like it might be removable but I can't find anything on the website, I'll shoot them an email) Note- I've since bought a second 1.75" one to remedy this.
It's not leather backed. (A con for some but, IMO, the handgun is so small that a crossbreed style holster isn't necessary)

I got an Alien Gear IWB for my Shield. Very nice holster, adjustable tension, extra parts, very comfortable to wear and very concealable. Down side was that it took almost 3 weeks to get it.

I use a versa-carry holster for around the house.

If I didn't pocket carry that little bastard this would work just fine.

the extra small works greathttp://www.versacarry.com/versacarry-semi-auto-models.html

I run a High Noon "Tailgunner".  I really like it personally... comfortable, well-made, good retention, and it isn't that plastic BS.  If you appendix carry you can get the "Double Jeopardy."   They are fairly pricey holsters but very good quality.

Smart Carry works good for me, G26/Shield 40.

I really like N82 (nate squard) pro. It is IWB recommended for 4/5 o'clock position. Very comfortable and has a positive retention.  I have ordered two of them S&W shield 40 and G19. Both shipped out in aprox. 1 week. Made in USA. Check them out, lots of reviews on them.

Old Faithful. You can get whatever shell you need for different guns without buying another holster, cheaper if you get the DIY kit and better kydex and leather than CBST.

Foxx, it's a lot like a crossbreed, but there's a bunch of options, horsehide is not always available though, it's cheaper, and if they're still shipping like they were it'll probably be at your house by mid next week.
Call and confirm ship times or check on FB.
The lil'Foxx is pretty sweet for smaller guns.

My dad is currently using a Bladetech Nano for his Shield and loves it.  He generally has it behind the hip as far forward as possible though it works great for apendix carrier.

Here is what I went with White Hat. Ordered and at my door in two weeks. I went this way as I can change the Kydex out to another weapon if I decide to. I had great input and feed back from people who have them. Thank you all for your input. Much appreciated.
