Have a weapon in you bathroom?
I took the Browns to the Super Bowl today and I realized if someone broke in well.. I was shit of luck... Then I was showering and I thought I hear someone at the door and I was like if I get out they might see my little gun while I run for my pistol |
What a silly question...
From here I keed, I keed. To be honest, no, I seldom have a firearm on me while in the house. I live in an area that it would be difficult to make a surprise visit. If I'm on the crapper however, I may be SOL. |

Then I was showering and I thought I hear someone at the door and I was like if I get out they might see my little gun while I run for my pistol The routine in my house is such that my wife is home when I take a shower. She is NOT a morning person. Any attempt by a home invader would be met with swift retaliation by an angry redheaded Scorpio. My house is very tough to break into. I know I've tried. I don't wander around the house with a gun on my hip but I usually have an AR or shotgun very close by. |
| Yes, I do keep a gun in the crapper, but I should explain that I have a very small house, and, by the design of this house, the bathroom is the last room to get to. There are other guns here, and there, but this one is mostly for the wife, if she has to retreat backwards from a threat. In fact, it's her gun. The one she picked, practiced with, and knows how to use. I've considered the heat, humidity from showers, and such, so I do check it regularly. It's a stainless 3" S&W, that's covered in a silicone cloth. I/we change, or should say, shoot the ammo in it (Hornady, 125 Gr. XTP) and replace it with new stuff 2 or 3 times a year, so I feel pretty good about it being there. |

Currently, I have a shower tub. I lay the pistol on the rim while I bathe. If I'm using the bathroom in the morning, same thing.
Throughout the day, if I use the restroom, I'm usually carrying anyway so I have a weapon near me. I agree that next to sleeping or having sex, being in the restroom is one of your most vulnerable points. |

I like that one as opposed to the Glock in a bag |
