I received the Raven Concealment Vanguard II today.

I've had it on all day and have determined I hate it.  How are you guys carrying this thing?  Its uncomfortable sitting or standing and I am using a Glock 19.  Maybe a 26 would be better, but I've seen some posts saying people carried a 17 with it? lolwat

I'll try it another day, but it may end up for sale.

Have read that the height and angle are adjustable.  Nothing fits?

Personally I use mine at just about 12:30... the muzzle rides right along the inside of my hip bone, I tend to give it a bit of a cant as well to keep the grip from moving when I walk.

Its not for everyone but for me its ridiculously comfortable, I forget its there almost immediately.

A good solid belt helps, what belt are you working with?

I've tried adjusting it and can't get comfortable.  I'm using a "Uncle Mike's Instructor's Belt"

I love the idea of it, but it just seems it's not for me.

I hated it with the G26, but with the G17, it's sweet.

I hated it at first, but once I found the right spot I'll never go back. For me it's 12:30. Give it a try for a few days before you sell it.

To be honest even if you can't find the sweet spot for carry its a handy holster to have for tossing your glock in a bag or drawer.  Tie a loop of para cord off on the end and you have a fast an effective way of securing your glock.

I have toyed with the idea of mounting it to the bedside as well with some screws for an easy access holster that keeps my finger out of the trigger guard when I wake up bleary and half asleep. It's a pretty versatile little holster.

I have the vanguard (original) I use it as a back up holster. I wear it at the 430 position. I like it and it is good for a quick trip to the store or just messing around the yard. I want to try the vanguard 2 and will purchase yours it if it does not work out.

I just got my VG2 the other day as well and I'm pleasantly surprised as how it feels at 4:00 with a G26.

I never intended to use it for AIWB though: http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_5_10/141154_Non_AIWB_use_of_RC_Vanguard_.html

I found the VG2 to be much less comfortable than a "real" holster in the appendix position.

I had only planned to use the belt loop strut with my Glock 26, so I ended up cutting off the lower section and sanding it smooth to make my Vanguard 2 comfortable. I carry between the 2 and 3 o'clock position FWIW.

I agree. My #1 appendix holster (SME by John Ralston of 5 shot leather) is far more comfortable...

I got one about a year and a half ago, and I too hated it. Granted, I was trying to use it with a Glock 17, but I ended up being able to conceal that same gun with a Kholster that's been built for a XD9 subcompact. The VG2 for me was over-hyped and it under-delivered. Just not comfortable.
