| I was wondering what modifications you make to your Glocks? I always add Meprolite sites, a smooth trigger (on compact and subcompact models), an OEM extended slide-stop, and a Glockmeister grip plug. All my guns have these features. What do you guys add? |

Night sights and an extended release. I do the triggers but they all seem to need something different. I have felt some stockers with triggers as good as I could ever hope to build. I don't do the plug thing as I like getting my thumb in the butthole there to strip the mag during drills.
Best thing I ever did get for my Glocks was a good holster. |

Lone Wolf Disconnector, a 3.5lb competition spring, and Ameriglow nightsights.
Yes after a lot of shooting a glock trigger breaks in just fine, however with a little work its smooth as hell instantly. I know some people like to leave a carry gun completely stock, but if its still just as reliable and it functions better with a few mods I see no reason not to. |

It seems like there are a lot of different things people do to a Glock. It seems as customizable as a 1911 in my opinion. I don't think so. It certainly does not lend itself to the 1000's of hours if detail work of finely fitting parts together to get a functioning piece of art. Heck, the number and varieties of 1911 grip safeties probably out number the number of all available glock accessories out there. I am not saying that there isn't a ton of Glock mods available, just that they are a drop in the bucket compared to number of 1911 parts and accessories available. What I am seeing posted in this thread isn't a huge list of things that can be done, but the remarkable few things that customers feel that they need to do to their Glocks to get them where they believe they need to be. Night sights and a good holster and maybe some trigger work and a ext slide release/stop/lever/whatever. I know more can be done, but seems that most that have posted here deem the gun pretty close to where it ought to be already. I am not sure how much this speaks of the owners of Glocks, or of the Glocks themselves, but I do find it somewhat remarkable. Glocks have that "Rare blend of expendable and invulnerable" that makes for the perfect handgun for my purposes. |

The first thing I do with any Glock is switch out for night sights.
The 17 is for home defense. It got Mepros, and a hogue grip. That's it. The 26 is for carry. It got low profile Ameriglo sights, extended release, and a 3.5lb ghost rocket trigger. Took advantage of a bored smith at a gunshow. He really took his time and did a great job on the trigger. He polished the bar a little at a time, reinstalled and we both tried it. After about four or five times, it was freakin' perfect. The light trigger makes up for the short sight radius. No overtravel and very quick reset. I shoot the 26 better than any other handgun I own, but it's my EDC, so I train with it more that any other, too. |

3.5 # connector, Meprolight night sights, Glock extended slide stop, Vickers mag release, $0.25 trigger job, grip plug, Trimmed enough material from trigger safety so it is flush when pressed completly. Stream light TLR-1, total of 4 spare mags, 2 have factory +2 baseplates on them, Speer Gold Dot HPs |

Night sights for all. Since I reload I like to add a steel, non captured guide rod so I can change spring weights. I'm not a fan of extended controls so I save some money there. I've mucked about with damn near every spring and connector on the market but keep coming back to stock. My 26's all get Concealable Control mag floorplates to all the standard capacity mags. My 29 gets Pearce pinkie extension. The 20 gets a 6" hunting barrel and both the 20 and 29 get .40 conversion barrels. |

I want metal sights, either stock or night, I want to do the $.25 trigger job and get extended controls. That's it, and none of that is needed it's just what I want to do. +1 on the sights. I have lost the OEM front sight on 2 Glocks that I owned. A 3rd gen 19 and a 2nd gen 17. |
