I have a VZ2008 that I want to put a muzzle nut on instead of the slant break. A standard AK muzzle nut doesn't work, which I assumed it wouldn't but I had one lying around so though what the hell. My question is the czechpoint website says that their vz58 muzzle nuts may not work with the 2008s. Mine appears to be standard threading barrel (i.e. that backwards like an AK). Can anyone point me in the direction to a muzzle nut that will work?

Putting a Czech surplus muzzle nut on there may reduce your 922r requirements by one, which is still fine for a stock VZ2008 as Century built them with one extra required part.  After that, however, you can't switch out any other parts for Czech surplus, such as the gas piston, which is a must with the Century rifles.  If you change the pistol grip or stock to aftermarket USA parts, then you've regained that many parts towards 922r.

Also, you can grind down the AK slant brake that it came with until it's just a muzzle nut.  Cold blue the tip and you'll be in business.
