I just picked one up about 3 weeks ago. The one issue right out of the box was that sometimes the hammer would follow the bolt carrier down when I was hand cycling it. Solved it by putting a bevel on the hammer as shown here: http://www.nodakspud.com/troubleshooting.htm
After that, I went and test fired it, 6 mags through. Only time it malfed was when I was deliberately limp-wristing the shit out of it. I mean holding the handguard lightly with my off hand, and pulling the trigger without having my firing hand on the grip whatsoever. Other than that, when I was holding it normally, no hiccups whatsoever. Am currently waiting on an e-form 1 to come back for it. One more week or less! Other kind of funny thing was that when I took a punch to the back plate in order to mark it for drilling and tapping, it just fell inwards. It was only held on by some welds on the top side, weak welds at that. No big deal since I can throw an Ace internal receiver block in there. Plan is for a Manticore triangle folder. |
