I bought mine for $319 before the prices really took off.

Unlike some who buy them for shits and giggles I bought mine to circumvent the discouragement that my state gives us to carry long guns in the vehicle.  I mean you can but there are restrictions.  Anyway, it rides in my GHB and has been there for about 5yrs now.

Only thing I've added is a loop of paracord wedged between the grip and the receiver that my cheap $4 silent sling attaches to.

I'm thinking of making some changes and here they are...

1.  New grip.

I like the Ergo-Sure-Grip on one of my ARs.  I'm thinking that that rubber, texture, and shape would make it more comfy on the AK but maybe another grip is preferred/popular...?

2.  New forend.

Rails would be a plus but none of these crappy ones that I have to dremmel just to get the cleaning rod to fit.

3.  Sling stud in the back.

I know there are kits to add a sling stud in the rear of the receiver.  I haven't seen any lately.  Any suggestions?

4.  New sling.

I want something comfortable and functional.  Right now my gun hangs at my knee caps if I let it hang.  I'd like it to stay in the torso area so I can wear it under a coat if the need arises.

Thanks

I see that.  And it looks good but it's just a pic.  No clue of the individual parts used.

That guy names everything and the forend is just what I'm looking for.  However, he mentions that the cleaning rod doesn't fit right....so I'd need to make sure they rectified that problem.

Thanks

Its a slr grip adapter for a magpul maid grip. A slr muzlebreak. The rail is a ultimak, and he welded a caslte nut to the read to straight mount a ar stock. Prior to that he used a ar interface ace folding adapter.

You are only a part of a small group that do all the extra modifications to their Draco, hence the reason you are not getting many replies. Doesn't look like you did any better with the other cross post you started either.

You would get more of the answers you are looking for if you searched this forum and all the threads that have taken place over the last few years.

As far as sling point i really like the Stormwerkz adapter plate. Uses the same hole spacing as the Ace stocks, so if you do go the SBR route it makes it very easy. Stormwerkz

I am also using the MFT handguards and are working well. A heat shield would be nice but not necessary.  MFT

Bought my Draco-C used - previous owner drilled a hole in the back plate and used a nut, washer and threaded sling-swivel stud. I added a gun-blue blackened steel "key ring loop" to the sling-swivel stud and then a basic AK sling.

Fore-grips are spare AKM-bulged grips done up in Russian Red and an original Romy bakelight grip replaced the fat rubber Hogue knock-off he had.

I snagged an old SKS cleaning rod to cut down to fit the Draco as mine didn't have the rod. Not that I need or use it - just wanted to complete the AK look.
