That's very unique. I can't say that I'd like one for myself but it is very cool indeed. Did you do the work yourself?

Oh and, Kalashnikov vodka = win.

I did everything except the paint.  I got a deal on the parts.  Around $100 for everything.   I noticed that I started flinching after shooting it.

What mount are you using for your weapon light?

Light?

Just shoot the damn thing. Plenty of light.

Oh yeah, I'm not the originator of the bayo.  I saw it here somewhere here.  Thought it was neat and decided to go for it.

I will say whoever had it said they had to mod it cause it wouldn't fit the rail.  My bay went on without a hitch.

The rail is the small one offered by Cheaper Than Dirt for under $10.00

The light mount is the Safariland mount.  It rotates and locks in place.  Had issues with it coming loose, then put the belt clip that came with it on the flashlight and have solved that problem.  All other mounts put the flashlight against the sling ring.  This was the only one that positioned it the way I wanted it.

Flashlight is just a Surefire G2.  It is not the LED version and has held up to several hundred rounds so far.

It's a Midwest Industries rail.  Available at lots of vendors.

I was entertaining the notion of using the Draco as a "bump in the night" gun. In which case, it would be a low light situation. Unless you sleep with all your house lights on?

7.62 x 39 Pistol built by a friend of mine with a Sparc red dot.  Shoots great for all those states I can't carry a carbine in but can carry a pistol. The group (a little low and right) under the pistol was after I got it zeroed at 25 meters.  I have changed the muzzle brake to a PWS FSC47 after the photo.

Slowly adding tung oil to the wood to darken it, I like the dull finish tung oil leaves. Reblued the whole thing and polished the bolt carrier. Added the rear sling mount, and flash hider and romanian pistol grip

That is exactly what I want to do with the addition of a folding stock and YHM 762 Phantom.  I can't wait for that form 1.

That is the best setup I've seen so far.  Thanks for the picture.

What lower grip is that?
Also, is that the ultimak with a chop/bevel job?

Thanks,

How short is that Yugo M92 barrel, it looks like you cut it down? Very nice BTW.

My first AK,  next addition is a sling and a matching billet grip.  Draco is marked C model 1968.  Grip was stained with red Rit dye and finished with a glossy tung oil finisher.

My SBR.  Approved F1 in hand, but not built yet.  Still kicking around the grip (hogue or maid) and lower foreend (Donkey grip or full sized Ultimak).  Also included in pic: orig furniture, Ironwood PG, and AR grip w/AK adapter.

My first Draco. Definitely not my last. This one has become part of my home defense rotation. I'm planning on getting another one and redoing it in the more classic, traditional style.

Who's laser is that and does it work well?  Is there enough room for your hand with the laser in that position?
I'm thinking about the same laser setup.

The laser is a generic version of the more expensive name-brand ones. If I remember correctly I got it from Veriforce Tactical about a year ago. Works great.
I have large hands and there's plenty of room. Velcro (with a dab of Liquid Nails) on the on the pistol grip keeps the remote switch securely fastened. My thumb operates it.
I've got the laser dialed in at 20 feet and the red-dot at 50yds. Soft point bullets and the CBC exterior walls of my house means there's little chance of a round overpenetrating and
wreaking havoc in the neighborhood should I have to use it.

That's homemade from a Romy kit. Had the barrel cut to 7", piston shortened, gas tube, etc.  Did that one about 5-6 years ago.
Top one was an AMD 65.

Did your gun come with the plastic hand guards? Looks E. German They come from the factory with wooden hand guards. Was your gun new or 2nd hand? I got my Draco C at the last WPB show. By the way, I used to live by 595 & 441 for years. Enjoy.  GARY  N4KVE
