| What 100% receiver would be best to build a polish underfolder? |
|
I don't think anyone is doing 100% pre-drilled for the Polish either. I used Global's type 2's and drilled the trunion holes myself also. Use some aircraft hole finder tools to get the locking lug and rivet holes drilled perfectly then take the trunion out of the receiver and pin it to the outside of the receiver using it as a template for the center support pin hole and long rivet hole and it's pretty easy. A drill press, machinist vise and the correct size drill bits helps out alot too. Been reading DCI makes a great un drilled receiver also... be using their Romanian RPK receiver soon... either Global or DCI would be a good choice. DCI |
| so, are the main trunion rivet holes there to hold it in place? I guess what Im getting at is, if I get one from global for a Polish underfolder will all I need to do is cut or drill for the folder button and not have to worry about heat treating?. I wanted to get a type 2 reciever already parked. |
If the hammer & trigger holes, and the ejector comes already heat treated then that's all you have to worry about heat-treat wise. |
| We have given the go-ahead for DCI to do a production run of dedicated receivers for the Polish UF kits. Here is a link with info: www.gunboards.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=173105 |
