Anyone have any ideas for what can be used for a cheek riser on a folding Beryl stock? I mean, besides paracord. I love my Beryl stock, but it's a bit too low for my taste.
The ACE looks good, but I don't want to order it and then find out it doesn't work... |

So, the ACE riser came today, and I mounted it this evening.
It's pretty tight when it comes to forward/back movement, but there's still a bit of side to side play. I'm still considering how to fix that without modifying the stock permanently. Wrapping it with paracord or foam might be helpful, as it would thicken the top bar somewhat. If I wanted to be really industrious, I imagine a second bolt through the upper portion of the stock or set screws would work, too... but, I'd have to think about those a little harder. All of that said, it's still entirely usable, and provides a much better cheek rest than the stock does alone. It also prevents the stock from closing completely, but given that the Beryl stock doesn't lock closed, that's not much of a loss. UPDATE: this setup is really growing on me. The wobble is not a problem when you've got a solid cheek weld, and it makes the irons much more comfortable to use. Also high enough for my FastFire III mounted on the handguard in an ADM QD mount. |

Anyway I like it and it's now on there for good.
