I made a similar post over on the the Romanian AK Forum to establish how Romanian AK rear sights are marked.  I'm curious about the Polish manufactured  rear sight  as well.   So for those of you with rifles built using Polish parts kits, which letter of the alphabet is used for the 1st setting on the sight and what is the highest meter indicated?
Thanks

From another forum

Bulgaria = Л or П (depending on the clarity of the stamp)
China = ㄇ or D for export
Czechoslovakia (VZ-58) U
East Germany = N or K
Egypt = ت for domestic (with the smiley rounded on both ends and the eyes horizontal) , and P for export, some have been exported with Л
Finland (Valmet) 1.5 (150 meter battle setting)
Hungary = A
Iraq (Tabuk) 0
Israel (Galil) 300 and 500 diopter L flip sight
North Korea = ᄑ(except the horizontal bar on top extends from the right vertical, not all the way to the right)
Poland = S
Romania = P
Russia = Л or П (depending on the clarity of the stamp)
South Africa (R5) ???
Yugoslavia = 0

Thanks!  Exactly what I was looking for!  Interestingly,  I saw a pic s/were of one of the "new" Polish imported AKs rear sight and noticed it showed a "P" instead of an "S".  I remember having seen an AK build using a matching Polish parts kit with the "S" on the sight.  That got me to thinking that MAYBE the IO guns possibly only used Polish receivers (like the 80% ones being offered now by some distributors) mated to Romanian parts kits.  It now seems from other threads, except for the barrels, to pretty much be the case.  Thanks again.
