Guy has a rifle he wants to get rid of. It looks like some sort of AK copy , but I suspect it is junk. It is marked " EAA CORP,COCOA FL" SAIGA on the one side and on the other it says MADE IN RUSSIA BY IZHMASA. He claims he paid $125.00 for it. it is 7.62 X 39 caliber. Can anyone help me identify it based on my limited information |
Nothing, in my opinion, built by Saiga/Izhmash is junk. Sounds to me like he has a post-ban "sporting rifle" chambered in 7.62x39. They can be converted to a nice Kalashnikov variant, if you decided to do so. |

| Well built,crappy trigger setup(don't like that in mine),finish questionable,reliable shooter(well within AK standards and comfortable to shoulder up).....Does convert easily enough,but why? No more EEA....Think Remington has their hands in it now(Baikal....and the finish is not as good). At 125 get it and ask opinions later if it's not trashed or stolen. Is not and never will be like the Mil-types,but they are a good rifle and do what has to be done. |
