Hi guys.  I've been thinking about adding an AK and dumping the AR.

I like the VEPR K, but at 8.5 pounds it feels a little leaden in the hands.

The SA M7 looks great, but it is 8.4 pounds according to their web site.
I've shot both and like them, but the vepr K has better sights.

But, the SLR 95 looks good, seems to be good.
I've also heard the AMD-65 is a great one.
What is the difference between the 95 and the 65?
Any thoughts from those who own one or more of these or have shot one or more of these is appreciated.   thanks, Kyle

The SLR95 pluses:
Excellent quality and finish.  Good trigger.  Thumbhole stock is comfortable.  Usually cheaper to acquire than a Sam-7.
Minuses:
No scope mounting rail.  Thumbhole stock.  Milled receiver is heavier than a stamped receiver.

Keep the AR.  Save until you can add an AK.  In simple terms, do not let go of any 'assault rifles'.

I must agree.

Never sell a gun, just keep buying them.
