I have been waiting for a Lancaster AK since Nov of 2008. They said it would ship in 5 weeks. I finally received it three months later. I called a few times to find out why the wait and they told me that some of the military bases have ordered rifles and well as overseas. The website originally claimed they were using NDS receivers, but mine came with a ITM receiver from Ohio. There was no bayonet lug like I had ordered, the muzzle brake was wrong. Should I be pissed. I feel pissed.
I called them about the muzzle brake and they are sending me the standard slant one like I wanted. After I talked to them, then I found out about the rest. I was so mad about the muzzle brake, I overlooked the receiver and the bayo lug. I spoke with the owner a few weeks ago to complain about the wait again and he told me NoDak Spud was back logged so bad, he went ahead and purchased his own equipment from Bulgaria to make his own receivers. They did put on a NM barrel for my trouble, but that was for waiting. The deep "Russian" red furniture looks great and finish is great too. Shot it and it works just fine. Should I be pissed? I heard that ITM receivers are junk. I feel cheated on the bayo lug and the lack of the reputable NDS receiver. |
| I also ordered a Lancaster Ak in early November. They told me 3-5 weeks and it ended up taking almost 3 months. I got the same song and dance about a military contract take priority over my ONE rifle order. I did get a NDS receiver though. The fit and finish or my Ak is awesome to be honest and it shoots great. I ordered mine with an optional desert tan finish on the receiver accented in black with Bulgarian black furniture. What I got was TAPCO plastic crap for the Bulgarian black furniture. I honestly was pretty pissed for the wait, the run around and then getting TAPCO junk furniture on my high dollar Ak. I am just dealing with it and will not be buying another rifle from them. They do make good rifles but they are not able to keep up with customer service and the current demand. I chose not to send it back because it took so long to get I didn't want to be without it until they got ready to ship it back. Good luck whatever you choose to do. I say keep it and have fun... |

You ordered (and paid for) yours, understanding it would have black Bulgarian furniture and it came with TAPCO? Man, you need to make sure they fix that! |
