This is kinda hard do picture. but here goes.
I know of a fella. he is into his firearms and loves AK's Now he was showing me one of said 10 idetical AK's he has. I did not take any pics but can tell you everything I remember .. He brings out a brown box, has a UPS shipping label from the early 80's date on it. On the end of the box in red is printed (not hand written) AK 47S. No name brand nothing. He opens the box, inside there is a rifle In plastic bag, with all the standard goodies, 3 mags, bayo, sling, cleaning kit/tube etc. I did see a manual but did not catch any manufacturer name. So he proceeds to tell me this is NIB and he has 10 more in box unopened. He does ask that I do not touch any metal surface with bare hands. So Being the good sport I am I obide by his wishes. gun is a 7.62x39 cal. and is also stamped AK-47S has a importers stamp and made in china. NO other manufacturer stamping, He says it is a "pre-norinco" gun. I dont know if this makes any sense. This AK was 100% MINT Any idea as to who made this AK, and maybe with the limited details a value of such a creature??? Sorry been away for a short spell.
This is a stamped reciever, not milled. If I remember correctly he said it was made by the same company/facility that built the AK's for the chinease military.. Dont know if this helps any. on edit..had to use another post for this. In the link below, on the box it says 56S-1 in black. The one this fella had was in Red and said ak 47S If you also look at the inset picture of the barrel trunion. The one listed says 56S-1, On the one I am asking about it says AK-47S.
