Would like to ask the forum members which AK is a better invesment and which would be the best of the two as shooters?

Investment, IMHO Polytech. I bought my first NIB Legend in 1989 for almost $600, just look at what they bring in now....

Would your purpose to be only to buy & hold, or to use at all? I have a milled Polytech but if I wanted a go-to SHTF type rifle I could think of others that are equally reliable and more cost-effective.
