Funny story reguarding my select fire Valmet in 7.62x39. Several years ago I looking for select fire chi-com AK and for some reason I couldn't locate one for sale at any price. A friend said he knew of a Valmet that was currenlty for sale if I was interested and I told him I'd give it a look. I really liked the look and feel of the Valmet and I bought it in order to resale when a Chi-com came up for sale. After a little trigger time and shooting sideXside with select fire Chi-coms I decided I'd keep it. It has to be the sweetest shooting AK ever built and it uses all standard AK mags. I had several offers to trade it for some extremely nice select fire Chi-coms since then, but I declined the offers. I've also had some crazy cash offers from a couple of Valmet lovers/collectors. A couple of the cash offers were more than a little difficult to turn down, but she still resides in my warm safe. TD |
