Jmikesteen What is on your mag well is that a convertion of some kind?
No it is one of my collection of AR15 mag adapters, There were five different ones made. Two of them had lock out pins to prevent accidental removal of the adapter. the one in the picture is one of those. Here are all five together. They work so well and I have so many AR mags that I don't have a big supply of Galil mags. I just keep one or two of each type for the collection. By the way does anyone here have any Aluminum Galil 35 round mags? I have 3 and they are pretty scarce.

Did you have any trouble putting the M76 style handguards on you M62? It looks nice. |
Those are late model 62S handguards. The butt Stock is a Galil. Rod Maurer at Fidelisfirearms.com converts the Galil stocks to fit wood stocked 62's without modifing the rifle only the Galil stock.

Levallois, that Valmet rocks ! Which model # is that one ? I'm putting it on my wants list.

hkusp,
Thanks! I've always wanted one. It's a Model 76 FS or folding stock in .223 and I was lucky to find it at a price I could afford. I should warn you that the expensive part of owning a Valmet are the magazines - they run $100-150 each for 30-round factory and $60-70 for Tromix (if you can find them). Other than mine and one that sold on Gunbroker recently (with a missing part and non-factory mags) I didn't see another folder for less than $2K, but with patience and luck you could probably find another. Good luck!! John |

Question for JimTash
Is that a SBR or the real deal class 3? |
It's an SBR. If the '86 ban does goes away though, you better believe that it will be made into a full auto in a heartbeat. The same goes for my other SBR's. |
Thank You Jim, I really love your galil, been trying to locate one myself...What are the chances the ban going away? Would that drive down some prices? I see here how crazy the prices have gotten on class 3.

I don't see the ban disappearing for a while if ever. What really gets me is the fact that I went through the same hoops for an SBR as I would have for a full auto. What a bunch of crap.
Yeah I can imagine how that is. That is what gets me is that all the paperwork and the wait and dont really know how much something like yours would run me..
Thanks Jim, I really appreciate your help.. |

Sanity,

There is such a thing as a transferable AK sear, but they're all permanently installed in host guns . I had a Valmet M78 converted to full auto by Fleming that used a registered sear. |
