What kind of RPK did Arnie have in Commando? It looked like a Valmet RPK with a Dragonov stock.

It is a M78/83S. It is a very rare type of Valmet. There is one on Gun Broker for sale.

The mag on his looked like a 7.62x39..... Were any of them imported? Also whats the deal with the Dragonov stock? Was that for real or just for looks? I remember when I was a kid I thought it looked cool till that 89 ban came along

It's listed as a Valmet M78. But definately shows screen shots of a 7.62x39mm version

Valmet M78 "Red Dawn" Machine Guns, Total of 2

The following two full auto M78 Valmets, fully transferable, in 7.62x39mm were used in “Red Dawn” with original “Club” stocks, as well as “Commando” with the Dragunov style stock. The Semi auto was in the movie poster, and in some shots on the film.
