I just got an underfolder yugo AK.  The top and bottom handguards are loose.   Does anyone know how to tighten them up if at all possible?  Also, is there a way to tighten up the folder.  It's not REAL loose,  but it could stand to be a littel more stable.

Thanks

1 - buy new handguards - they are in low price range.
2 - put some glue on the handguards where it meets the retainers.
3 - put some metal foil in between the handguard and retainer (then cut the rest off with a knife and it will not be visible).

Another thing that works very well is actually rope caulk. Yep rope caulk. Just buy some and put in place and it will be nice and snug. You can put it in also from behind and under the trunion, then  work it forward with a slim screwdriver from the inside of the receiver and that should work very well. Over time the rope caulk will toughen and tighten up the handguard even more.
