What is the best way to remove the staked in rt side of this assembly so that you don't booger up your part to bad?? The assembly I am talking about is the spring loaded button in the rear trunnion that secures the top cover....

Vicegrips and a modified screwdriver. Cut a notch in a flathead to fit and grab the other side with the vicegrips. Its not staked on as bad as it looks. Mine loosened off easily with no damage.

I held the button end in my vise and just unscrewed it with a modifed screw driver, just milled out the middle of the blade with a dremel until it fit
