| How do you remove the gas tube from the upper handguard? |
|
Various methods depending on how tight they are on the tube.
Hold the handguard in your hand, put a wrench on the flats of the gas tube, and turn the wrench 180 degrees. If they are tight/stubborn, put the flats of the gas tube in a vice and turn the handguard off with your hand. If really tight/stubborn, put the gas tube flats in said vice and turn the handguard off with a strap wrench. Although not as fragile as Romy hanguards, you can still crack them (if it's wood you are removing, don't sweat the poly) if you're not careful. |
