I am so confused, I have been building Romys for a while.  I ordered a Yugo M70 kit ($120) from Apex a couple of weeks ago.  It said it came with no butstock (which didn't bother me).  So I just got into it tonight, I started to demill.  I noticed there is no front  or rear trunnion.  WTF, it looks like a solid piece of metal for both ends.  There are NO RIVETS and no trunnions!  Am I missing something.

So am I screwed.  I was thinking I could just build it on a Nodak receiver and be done with it.  So I guess the only way to salvage is to get a front and rear trunnion???

You could try a milled receiver.

I think saw something in the Build-It-Yourself forums about using a milled kit to build on a stamped receiver.

Otherwise, you'd probably have to go with a milled receiver.

Well that clears it all up. I have a milled kit. So, there are two options I guess.

1. Get trunnions for rear and front to do the build.

2. Try and grind (custom make) the front trunnion / rear, to fit in a new stamped rec. Then drill and rivet the trunnions in place.

HAS ANYONE EVER USED A MILLED FRONT AND REAR TRUNION AND PUT IT IN A STAMPED REC? CAN IT REALLY BE DONE??? CAN YOU JUST DRILL AND RIVET, OR WILL THE RIVETS BE TOO SMALL?

here is my pictorial on how to convert a milled to stamped receiver.you can weld, screw,or drive screw it together.you can buy a milled receiver from orf for $249.or you can grind down the rear milled stub and use it for the rear trunnion, and buy a sramped front trunnion for the front.you will have to headspace and drill a oversize barrel pin if you go stamped front trunnion.MILLED TO STAMPED PICTORIAL
here are pics of a milled yugo that the rear milled stub was ground down for a trunnion, and a stamped front trunnion was used.
