Anybody know if they exist?  I have no problem finding sources for poly handguards, but the butt stock has so far eluded me.  This is my first AK and I'm still coming up to speed as to what is available for Yugos.  Thanks.

I'm wondering if a milled stock could be made to fit?

Based on looking at mine, Yugo M70 fixed stocks seem to attach with a long bolt through the length of the stock into the back of the trunnion sort of like a Remington 870 shotgun.  To take one off, I think you have to remove the rubber pad and take out the long bolt.  A "normal" AK stock won't work.  I know of no synthetic stocks made to fit Yugo M70s, but I haven't really searched either.

There are no polymer buttstocks for the Yugo M70B1.  You can get an adapter and install an Ace side folder if you want to replace the fixed stock.

I figured I was SOL on the polymer but would ask anyway.  Thanks for the replies.

Here is a link for the adapter than allows you to use Ace stocks: Yugo rear trunnion insert

I may eventually go this way on My M70B1.

Another option I wasn't considering...Now you really got me thinking about turning my M70 into a side folder.  Thanks for the link.

40.00 is a little steep for a peice of steel with 3 holes drilled in it

I guess it's not the piece of steel that is so expensive per se, but the three holes and knowing where to drill 'em. Money for nuthin'. But I'll possibly wind up with one too. I always liked 'convertibles'.

I'm going to get one.  When I stop and think of how much I have invested in my 5 ARs, dropping $40 on this is nothing.  A drop in the ocean so to speak.  AKs need love too...
