Hello Everyone :) I have a quick question. I might be selling an SKS I have. I am curious what the going rate is for a collectible SKS. It is Russian 1953 Tula. I am told it was never fired (I don't know how to check this) However the source for the SKS is A Very Much Trusted Source. Does not have the Refurbished mark. The only thing wrong here is the serial number on the magazine does not match. So if I decide to sell it what can I get?? Thanks Thomas |
that is true but most people will pay $300 just because it is russian someone will buy it on sks boards they love them ruskies I had 2 ruskies and paid $500 for both at $250 a peice it was a steal But guess what, I sold them I am stupid, stupid stupid |

The Russain SKS remains the ceremonial firearm for the Russian military. Pictures indicate the multi toned red laminate stocks with the polished bolts are very prevelant. I've watched the prices for many years and they seem to remain centered around $300 with + and - value based on condition, matching status, etc. I agree a mismatched magazine reduces value and collectibilty. So for $250 you get a nice shooter, way better than a Yugo and you don't have to worry about putting a scratch in the top cover. HTH |
