| does anyone know where I can buy the blade for my sks para??? and also how do I get the fixed 10 round mag well out of the gun so I can use 30 round mags??thank-you for any help this is my first sks thought I would try some thing new... I bought 30 round duck bill mags from cabela's they stated they would work in the sks,, thank-you. |
If you are asking about a "blade bayonet" for the "paratrooper", I would tell you not to bother. The blade bayonet, and all bayonets on Chinese SKS's, besides being illegal, doesn't close enough, and allows the tip to sit just a bit low from the lower hand guard. Your hand will bet poked quite a bit from the tip pointing at you. The one I bought, but didn't install, looks like a normal size bayonet, with the tip ground down shorter. If I were to do it again, I would find a version of the spike bayonet that has been shortened. It probably would fit with out sticking your hand. |

As for the duck bills, they are a pain in the ass, don't bother. They will cause malfunctions. The 10rd mag, although, not as "cool" looking, is very well designed, and is rather quick to slap a stripper clip into, to reload. The 10rd mag rotates out if you take the stock off, and release the latch. |

Of course everyone puts duckbills down, however i have one 20 rounder and two 30 rounders (one steel and one pro-mag) that haven't malfuntioned once in my two russians or my two chinese or my yugo. Although i will say that i like the pro-mag the best. It fits tighter and the spring is much stronger than on the steel mags. In my experience the springs in the duckbill tend to be very light, and sometimes you need to bend the rear of the upper right lip on steel duckbills. Just my 2 cents. |
Ditto. Every after market hi-cap mag I have tried has been shitty. Stick with the original. |
