About a year ago I saw an sks a local gunsmith had made for his wife it had been rechambred in 308 and used m14 magazines I was wondering if anyone else had seen or tried anything like this?

the action is not long enough for the 308 to fit. i don't think that could be a safe conversion.

It didnt look to safe, but you would have to know this guy. He lived in a old farm house no running water or indoor plumbing but he had a heck of a machine shop set up in his barn.
