Well the ak site has one so why can't we? As my first contribution here is a site that I found some really cool sks sights on:

www.williamsgunsight.com/rifle.htm

I'm not sure how to make this a quick click link, so any help would be appreciated.

NEXT LINK........

Here is a guy that just opened up shop.
His theory is that shooting an SKS with a peep sight similar to the M-16 at the REAR of the top cover would enhance the accuracy of the SKS.
He may have a point

I think I am going to give them a try.

Let us know how it goes... and if it holds zero well!   I have a Mojo sight on hand, but haven't installed it yet.  I'm gonna get a couple more M59s and see if I can find one more accurate than the others.  So far the one I have is pretty damn accurate.   Hopefully more will prove accurate, too.

I was looking at mounting a scope but then again who are we kidding...it's an SKS.

I just ordered the Williams FireSights from Brownells($32.25 shipped), looks like an improvement over the current irons.

I have a set of the Williams firesights (w/ rear peep) on my SKS.  It does improve the sighting picture...the original open sights always seemed "fuzzy" to me, but now things are a bit sharper.  It didn't tighten up my groups a whole lot, though, due to:
1. cheap ammo
2. it's an SKS
3. I'm an average shot

Couldn't be too bad... a low power scope on a receiver mounted base would be pretty nice on an SKS.  Within 150 yards or so, I'd bet some of the Yugos could do 1-2"

I'm kind of hesitant to post this link because I find their prices a little out of control but if anyone has any actual experience with their stuff...

I see nothing wrong wit a scope mounted on an SKS.

I just mounted a "Tasco 3-9X40 Pronghorn" with a shell deflector on my Chinese SKS. I will take it out to the range tomorrow to see what groups I can get.

I also have a Dragonov stock I put on it with a bipod.

Finally, I had the stock, bipod, and scope dura coated with a wilson combat OD green which goes real nice with the gun metal of the gun.

Black and OD green.......perfect together!!!!!!

Why did I do it???????
It looks cool and scares the crap out of non-gun owners or the "politically correct" shotgunners and bolt gunners.

THAT ALONE is worth the time money and effort put into it!!!!

A quick comment on the firesights. Just so everyone is aware, you need both the front and rear firesight assembly. The front sight is non adjustable, so they made the rear adjustable for both windage and elevation. The sight tech only adjusts as the original rear sight rail did.

Sorry to be off-topic, but the thing that looked interesting on that site is how they've got their SKSs using non-duckbill mags.  Is there a built-in adapter they fit in the mag well area?

Well I just found a company that provides bullpup installations for the sks. Here is the link.

http://www.rifletech.com/bullpup.htm

the same company also has a steel vented one peice handguard/gas tube with an attachable mounting rail. Really cool.
