I heard about a law for SKS's. I was told that I am only alowed to have 2 modifications at once.  I have 4.  A different stock, a scope, a bi-pod, and a detachable magazine.  I need to know if I am shooting legal or not.  Please if you have any info for me, reply or e-mail me.  Thank you ver much.

It is not the number of modifications that matter, but  where the parts (certian parts) are made and if it violates the 1994 AWB.

If you do not have a pistol grip stock, IIRC you should be ok.

Not real sure about the Detach mags though.

I orsered it all from Caballas Outdoor Store, and Gunaccessories.com.   I appreciate the info.  I feel  much safer now that  I know that!   As soon as i figure out how to post a picture here, I'll have it up.   Thanks again!

Although you may have import or C&R issues if you changed anything from original with parts unlike the original.  In short, you cannot make any imported gun into a configuration that would be illegal to import.

Does any one know if the 20 and 30 round mags are legal on the Yougo?

Not unless you change enough parts out to have ten or less Imported Parts. You can check over on "Survivors SKS Board" for alot more information. I bought a US made stock, handguard, gas piston, operating rod, hammer, and trigger just to be able to use a detachable mag. and from the BATF letters I've read it doesn't matter what the capacity is, you have to have the US made parts installed to use any detachable mag.
