Well I finally got a chance to shoot off my Yugo today, everything was great for the first 10rds after that the rifle only worked by manualy feeding the rounds. Funny thing is two other guys at the range were having the same problem with there Yugo's, any tips would be appreciated. And yes the rifle has been completely cleaned and lightly oiled, and the op rod is not binding in the gastube.

Check the position of the gas cutoff.  Its possible that you forgot to return it to the semi auto position after cleaning.

Ya it's defintely in the correct posistion to the right, it looks like ill just have to replace the gas assembly.

I've never seen a commie gas assembly go bad before.  I still think there is the possibility of fouling in it.  Those things were pretty gunked up with Cosmoline.  Try running a pipe clean through the gas port just to check for a hidden obstruction.

I agree, this sounds like a plugged gas port. Other than that just make sure your gas block latch is in the down position.

1. are the rounds being successfully pulled from the chamber?

2. is the bolt unlocking and the carrier starting rearward.

3. what grade/condition yugo did you purchase (new/unissued or blaster grade)?

4. have you reamed the gas tap hole thru to the bore or inspected it for fouling?
