[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Stuck grenade ladder sight

My local Gunshop has a Yugo SKS with the grenade launcher sight, and it won't go down.

Any tricks to use to lower it?

Yep just slap it with the back of you hand folds right back over.

Yep just slap it. There are two detents that hold it up, and are very strong. A good strong slap will take it back down with no harm to the rifle.
