Hello all, I just purchased a Maadi MISR-10 s/n: CA023XX, I am trying to find out pre/post ban Serial Number info. Also any other random info I can find out, thanks all.. FO..Out |
| Alot of the single stack Maadi Misrs have been converted to take standard AK mags.I had one for a few years,it was a great AK once I fixed the trigger slap, smoothed up the receiver rails, straightened the front sight, adjusted the mag release and generally cleaned it up.I reluctantly sold it to a friend to fund another AK project,it was my everyday carry AK around the property. |
| The best remedy is to replace your Hammer, trigger and disconnector with a Red Star group. If you're tight on funds, you can remove the trigger and disconnector. At the rear bottom section of the disconnector and the rear top surface of the trigger, you will see where the two are impacting each other.Check the two parts out and smooth up the impact areas. You will probably notice the extra material on the disconnector, thats whats causing the problem, smooth it up and you should be good to go. |
| i too am wondering when my maadi was imported but only number on the gun is infront of the sight and neither it or the serial number apear to have a date in them. am i overlooking something ot could it be somwhere else. the serial number only has CAIXXXXX and the other number has 5 numbers in it.can someone please help me? |

all post-ban imports are required by law to have the year of import stamped into the rifle. maadi used a funky looking symbol that contained a 2-diget number that represented the year of import (i.e. 94). additionally, most manufactures coded the year into the serial number, such as ca02xxx (2002 import) or caxxx99 (a 1999 import). |
