I am looking for a Saiga 7.62x39 forend for a project im working on. Does anyone make a wooden one as ive never seen one for sale? Do any of you have any pictures of ones they have either cut vent slots in or have acuired that way? (plastic or wood) That was my plan whether i had to track down just a synthetic or found a wood one that looked good. Lastly are there any good sources for Saiga parts such as the forend and barrel parts? If your curious to my motive i am planning on using them on my Romanian ak once i figure out a good way to mount it. Once i have one in hand ill know what im working with. Thanks, Major |

Go check out BattleRiflgeG3's stuff on the Saiga Forum I don't think he's taking new orders until after the first of the year, but his stuff is top notch. You could also add a lower retainer ring and use standard AK furniture. Check out Dinzag on the same forum. You can either press off the FSB and gas block and install one, or get the split piece and install. Either way, you'd be able to use standard stuff. Jim |
