Just got my first AK type rifle------Saiga 308------WORST trigger I have ever owned over 50 yrs.
Any cure for this?

It's goofy because of the retrofit to a traditional style stock.

Convert it to a pistol grip configuration and it will be fine.

IIRC, Red Star Arms was making a drop in replacement trigger for the Saiga 308...

As you look at the trigger while being pulled you will see that it arcs upward . What I have done on non-pistol gripped Saigas is use my middle finger, instead of my index finger. Move your grasp on the stock forward. This puts your wrist at more of an angle. Maybe not as comfortable, but your middle finger then pulls straight toward your palm. Trigger still has a long travel and I recommend a pistol grip conversion.

Yes, do the PG conversion. The RSA FCG drops in with no mods to the hammer, and it is an enormous imporvement over the stock FCG.
