[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Saiga Gas Tube Compatibility Question

I am planning to purchase a Venom Tactical FSB/Gas Block, and I had a question. Are there any fitment issues using the stock Saiga Gas Tube? All I have done is removed the heat shield, but I have recently read several posts stating that the Saiga tube is thicker, or different in some other way.

Will I need to buy a standard AKM Gas tube as well?

the stock SAIGA tube is the same length as a standard one. You shouldn't have any issues.

Ok, so follow up question....I believe that the Saiga gas block is vented and the tube is not... since the Venom gas block is not vented should I drill vents in the Saiga tube to compensate?
Its on a 74 so i'm thinking it won't really matter.
