| Just bought a new Saiga in .223....is the barrel threaded under what appears to be a collar.....and if it is, how do I remove the collar?? |
| There could be threads under the shroud. Look closely at the crown, If it is threaded there will be a slight seperation between the barrel and the shroud and the crown will be more round. If it is not threaded, the crown will flow all the way to the shroud. If it is an 09, you have about a 60-40 chance of it being threaded. |

You have to drill out the 2 dimples on the side of the orig FSB I used almost a 1/4" its big.. youll know when you drill through, the bit catches some and youll see the barrel (the barrel has dimples too so dont be afraid.. hammer it off, press on the new FSB... this might help, its how i did it...
