The Vepr Shotguns have not been approved for import yet by ATF it is in the works but not guaranteed.The new Saiga line of Shotguns that are similar are here see the pic below.

Cool A few questions though.

What kind of mods have to be made to the mag versus a regular 12 mag to work (if it will even take regular 12 mags), when will be seeing them, and how much will they cost?

EAA was displaying a thumbhole slant back REAL Russian 12ga with a russian magwell and top cover, even real russian handguards. I could not find anyone but a booth babe working at the booth so i could not get any details on the 12ga.

I saw it from an internet link that was from a 'shotgun news article'

from a reliable source, in which i cant get into more detail, atlantic pretty much nailed it, but between our importer and russia/molot is another story we will just have to wait and see.
