Actually on the firearm itself. Ididn't know if it would be cheaper to get Saiga and do the conversion or get a regular ak74.

CenterFireSystems has them for $350.  You will have to pay for shipping and FFL transfer fees, but that is the best online price I have seen on the rifle.

You can also get a conversion kit from CarolinaShootersSupply for about $150 shipped.

Total price on a converted 5.45x39 would be about $550-$600 providing you do the conversion yourself, which from information online, this is very doable.

ETA:  Please make sure you read and understand the 922r compliance  regulations before you go doing the conversion.  Not abiding by these regulations if/when doing a conversion can result in a felony, which no one wants to see happen.
