What is the best way for fast loading these? Last night I heard a noise outside so I grabbed the S12 went to throw a mag in and found once loaded the angle of the shell makes it hard to conduct a quick reload.

there are mags that adapt to a quick loading mechanism, but I have not seen one for sale in the U.S. except from a British website
British site
Quick Link its right down on the page, but it is a tad bit expensive, considering you go from pounds to shitty american dollars...

I find that having the top shell as 2 3/4" shell versus a 3" on top it makes it alot easier.  Also, if you have the bolt hold open feature on your S12, leaving the bolt locked back will the gun is on the rack makes it so much easier to load.

Are you using a 10 round AGP mag?

I heard that they made a slight change to the follower.

Seems that when they were fully loaded, inserting them against a closed bolt was really difficult.
I think the ended up shortening one of the legs on the follower 1/4", but I can't recall if it was the front or rear.

Saiga-12 forum might have the answer, or give AGP a call.

+1

Mine is set up in the corner with a factory 8 round mag and one in the chamber. It's the only way to have a S-12 ready to go.

Just don't leave it loaded on a closed bolt, as the pressure ovals the round over time, and the next will not feed. The Russ make a metal hull 12ga, and aimsurplus had Bear buckshot a while back.

Just got some and they do load easier. After playing with it in a safe direction I think I have it down. Practice, practice, pratice.
