This is a question that I have to ask: My SAR-3 has a muzzle that mikes at .548. I was trying to find a comp that would work, and I finally located a Chris Horn unit at Veriforce. I ordered it. I was all set to thread the muzzle - then I remembered the TAT is .30 cal! What do I do? There don't seem to be any thread alignment tools in .22.

Here is a TAT that will work for .223, however your barrel diameter is to large for 1/2X28 threading. Perhaps you could get the "custom" TAT with a .223 bore and larger threads. preciseinnovationsllc.com/old%20pages/threadingkits.htm One problem I have with my SAR-3 is that the barrel extends past the FSB more than most 1/2x28 muzzle devices. So I could thread the barrel for 1/2x28 but the muzzle device would be ineffective. As far as I can see, adding the Romanian FSB w/22mm comp thread is the only way to go. Okay, I stand corrected.
