are your sure its not the thread adapter that is too big? Have you tried a regular 14x1 slant break to see if that fits?

Well from what i can tell my gun is not 14.1mm but i do have a slant break that came with it, I also have the ak74 style brake in 14.1mm ant it is just alittle too big.I have measured the barrel and it is about  1/2 inch thread to thread so now im wondering how many sizes were made??? Also if any one wants to buy an ak74 break or an 14.1mm to 20 something mm pm me i will sell/trade for one that fits.Mike.

I believe it's 1/2" by 20mm threads right hand thread. If you can find any compensators or aftermarket brakes that will fit it, let me knw, because I have the same, and you just can't find anything that will work. Good-Luck.

I think Armory USA was going to make a run of brakes in that thread pitch.

hmmm well now that i think about it i have seen some in that thread that are for ar's that might work. Also a new question does any one know how common that threading is and why put it on an ak?

That thread was put on the wasr because the barrel was turned down to small to thread 14mm.
