It does not have to be a AR to be a evil black rifle. Romanian parts kit on a Global 1.6 receiver with windage adjustable rear peep sight. I had Global put it together so I would not have to deal with narrowing my trunions. I have another parts kit and a Ewbanks receiver that I will build myself. The second one will be as close to stock as I can get it when I am done. |

I made it out to the range yesterday with my EBR. I ran 100 rounds through it without any hiccups. FMJ, HP and 154gr SP, all Wolf. No difference in accuracy between the types, I was getting 5-6 inch groups at 100yds with my starting to get old eyes. I should be able to bring that down a bit with practice but it is really for inside of 75 yards anyway. I was surprised to find that it had quite a bit less recoil than my Mini30. I also took a beater K31 with clamp-on scope mount that shot very well, a AR15A4 clone that I gave up on(crap scope that would not adjust enough to get on paper), and my .308 Garand which is my favorite rifle. It ran like a top and kept them in the black. All in all a very good day, 60 degrees, 5mph winds and mostly sunny skies. I love winter in Texas. |
