Hi Everyone: I've been really into ARs for a while, and decided to scrap one of my projects in favor or trying something new...I took the leap and bought myself an AK. Yesterday I got a WSAR-10. It has a threaded barrel with a removable slant break. The break only has one detent notch (I thought others I'd seen might have had multiple notches?) and the break is canted so that the opening faces more to the right than straight vertical. Is this normal, or is this just the result of poor machining? I'm excited to try something different |
Thanks for the info. Shot it this afternoon (baptism of fire into the world of AKs, literally ). It was fun, though totally different from my ARs. I have a few more questions. If I pull back on the charge handle and hold my mouth right, it will stay back, but if I shake the rifle the carrier slides foward. Is this normal? Also, when I have the bolt held back, and put in a fresh mag, it will sometimes slam home on its own, before the mag is completly seated. If the mag goes in and the carrier stays back, when I pull it back and release, the rounds don't want to chamber properly. Seems like it's best to put the mag in with the carrier forward, then charge it. Is all this normal? I don't mind changing the way I do things if I need to, I'm just new to AKs so was wondering if my rifle is functioning properly or not. |

Awesome, I knew it didn't have a real bolt hold open feature, so I was surprised originally when it started to happen. Since it is unpredictable, I just won't even use it anymore. I did buy a lot of ammo yesterday; I plan to use it up, then buy more...and more...and more...etc |
