Since the threaded FSB are hard to find and expensive, checked in the feasibility of having an adapter made. Below is my email to ak-103.com Please email him if any of y'all are interested. One other thing, I believe the adapter will need to be fabricated so it can be welded onto the FSB. If it is welded on the barrel, then the barrel would be considered threaded. I'm not an expert on this subject but I believe that is a no/no. -----Original Message----- Sent: Wednesday, February 12, 2003 3:52 PM To: '[email protected]' Subject: 22mm barrel thread adapter I'm very interested in purchasing a 22mm barrel thread adapter for my SAR 2 and Romak 992. I noticed you offer the 24mm thread but I'm interested in being able to remove the compensator for cleaning. Could you make me two and what would the cost be? What about USA made compensators to fit the 22mm adapters? Secondly, I have a Bulgarian demilled kit to build in the future. Could the Bulgy FSB threads be re-threaded into the 22mm? Thanks, tripntx formerly known as txman |

Called global. The offer one in 24mm but not 22mm. The 24mm one uses p/n A639 & A560. It is a bushing and adapter which can be welded onto the FSB. Fits SAR 2 barrel. I want one in 22mm. Campy, could the 24mm one be rethreaded for 22mm and still have enough metal to hold the comp on? Global does offer 22mm and 24mm adapters to fit AR15 threaded barrels. |
