[ARCHIVED THREAD] - PSL flash hider?

Does anyone know if the OEM PSL flash hider thas the same thread pitch as the AK?

I am looking to change out the flash hider one one with a more effective model for night shooting and I thought I would ask the main question so I would know where to go from there.

Pretty much looking to go the route of something like an M14 Vortex. (I know the M14 Vortex won't work, I am just looking at doing something along those lines)

The muzzle device on a PSL is a brake, not a hider.

Yes the pitch is the same as an AK

I like the long lean look, so I put an SVD type on mine

I was looking for something different as well. The muzzle device on there now would never work at night for obvious reasons. The SVD / Tabuk look is nice but for a specialized rife I am looking to use a specialized device. It may not work out but I can always go back to the SVD look,
