The wood furniture.  Is there anything that you recommend to improve that bare wood finish?

I am not talking about refinishing.  More like oil or wax or????

100% tung oil looks good. I did it in a Bulgarian set that It came with blond finish and I took it out then applied 100% tung oil. It is more time consuming than other tung oils that leaves the glossy finish. This is from few days working on it and waiting for it to dry. It doesn't have any gloss. It leaves a natural wood color.

Here is the finished work:

There's no stain on this wood. 100% tung oil only.

ETA: This is what you could be expecting using the 100% tung oil in the Romanian laminate wood:

It could darken more with more coats but as I said above, It takes long terms to dry. one coat a day. What I do is to clean the wood first, Apply one coat of tung oil, wait 40 mins, wipe with a clean dry cloth, wait the next day. Start applying another coat using sand paper, wipe right away. Next day another coat with a more fine sand paper, wipe right away. Wait few days to let it dry very well (about 2 days). Then use a 0000 steel wool if you want the wood really smooth.

Posted this on the AK discussion thread yo had. Red food coloring dye and Watco Danish oil in mahogany. Wet sanding lightly, etc. Multiple coats over about 3 days.
