Please confirm or correct my understanding...
The Romania factory assembles a WASR10 for US export by combining surplus AK47 parts with a new receiver. The new non-AK47 receiver is built (with single stack mag opening) and fitted to the surplus parts. Key parts are left out and the mag well accepts only a single stack mag - this make the assembly compliant with "sporting purposes". Century imports the assembly, adds US made parts (trigger group bayonet lug, etc.) and opens the mag well. Thanks! |
