Just picked up an SAR-2 with ATI polymer stock grip and front hand guards, 12 mags, a Kobra red dot and a nice bag for $450. First: did I get a good deal? second: the mags have numbers on the lower right side but they are not circled so im not sure what kind they are. It shoots great and thanks to Youtube to figure out the sight.

| If the mags are smooth matte black and simply numbered 1 or 2 then they are Polish tantal mags and worth $10-15 each. If they are orange bakelite and have varied numbers but no symbol on the other side then they are East German and worth $25-$35 each. Either way they are good mags and military issued with steel reinforcement. You did great you got a chrome lined barrel, most new 5.45 arent chrome lined, now go buy several cases of 5.45 while its still cheap and plentiful and shoot it! Oh yeah and pics! |

after closer inspection it seems they have been painted black and are orange bakalite inside
