Having replaced the AK Shepherd's Hook spring with a Tapco trigger pin plate, I set about performing the same replacement to the PSL, since it uses an AK trigger set. However, this trigger setup is not exactly the same nor does the plate drop in without alterations for other issues.
The first part is opening the "jaws" that interface into the hammer pin. Second, is the very obvious cut into the top of the plate that cuts down to the "T" in the Tapco label. This cut (which I filed out by hand instead of drilling) removes a part of the plate that pressed against a rivet/pin which attaches the scope rail. Without this cut, the plate doesn't press flat against the receiver. The last cut is a opening of the safety selector hole as it passes to the left receiver wall. The plate sits too high to let it pass as is and instead of fooling with cutting out the trigger pin interface, its just easier to drop the plate in after the first two cuts and mark through the selector hole than file a surface I couldn't see well how it fit.
Even with the cuts above, the plate fits tight and requires a gentle tap forward to seat it in and a reciprocal tap aft to remove... But its much easier than the shepherd's hook spring. Not sure how much material removal you'll have to do to fit yours but I hope the above gives you an idea if you're looking to do away with the spring.

Another gem from the WECSOG. Thanks for the write-up!
